Raindrops
April has proven itself more busy than I anticipated! (Is that not how it always goes?) Here we are nearing the end...and I am standing on the edge, surprised to see May around the corner!
I have another sweater on the needles, but as I am projecting May to be as busy (if not busier) than April, I have a feeling it will be a long-time-coming to fruition. In the end, though, I hope to see the Gibraltar Henley as an FO. Planned mods: I'm doing the pick-up sleeves my way, and the "henley" part may disappear.
Did you notice my new banner? I did one for my design site as well, just because because because! It is rather whimsical, and I am not the most talented artist in the world...but it was an awful lot of fun!!
Gardening is a must this year. I have been granted "a bit of earth" to plant in near the house. I am particularly excited about that foxglove :)
On the music side, if you have the ears for Chopin, the choice song is a pretty little prelude that makes me smile. My piano is ringing out the phrases in joy....
I'm now on to figuring out the rest of my evening. I really want to start getting some headway on that sweater. But, what's the rush? You know?
And the last side note: Don't know how to follow me consistently? I have added an easier way to follow my blog by email. There is now a "Follow by Email" gadget where you can submit your email. Go to the bottom of the blog (past all the posts) and you should be able to find it.
Enjoy your week sliding into May!

I love your new banner, makes me think I should do something like that one day. Love your new yarn and the project. I have decided I need more cardigans in my wardrobe so that is what will be started soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Karen! Cardigans are always a good project! I look forward to seeing them :)
DeleteThat is a lovely sweater-I love the color you've picked out for yours!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I love heathered blues :)
Deleteoh! your banner is very pretty!!! well done! it is nice to have long term knitting projects I find! have fun with the garden and flowers!!! :)))
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much! I agree, long term knitting projects are very rewarding. Though I do always wish that it could get done faster!! ;)
DeleteI love your new banner, it is so sweet! Your Gibraltar Henley will look gorgeous in that colour, too. I've also got a lot on my plate in the coming weeks, and fear it'll show in the progress I'm making on my knitting projects. But I've (cunningly) decided to only knit accessories and baby knits for a while, so I'll probably get one or two done over the course of the new month. Have a happy week, Nicole, and good luck with your own little garden!
ReplyDeleteAccessories and baby knits are the best...just because you can get so many done in such a short time! Apparently I was lacking this foresight when I first picked this project ;) Have a happy week as well!
Deletegreat banner....how clever of you!!! (I feel lucky I was able to create a banner at all!) Great color.....can always use another good cardi!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Steph! Took me a while to figure out, so don't worry ;) Yes, I love that color as well!
DeleteI noticed your banner the other day and was looking forward to when you posted to compliment you on it! Fantastic, Nicole!
ReplyDeleteYou can never have enough cardis. The color will look beautiful on you.
Aww, thank you!! It was a lot of fun drawing it! And since I love all shades of blue, I am very excited for when this project is complete. Have a great week!
